Dietary adjustments for nine skin types
Regarding skin types, there are different classification methods. The first and most common classification method is to classify according to the secretion capacity of sebaceous glands. The dry skin oily skin is usually used to distinguish the secretion of skin oil. Most of the oil secretion is oily skin, and the secretion is less dry skin. Sensitive and non-sensitive types are related to the stratum corneum of the skin. If the stratum corneum is thin, it will be sensitive, but if it is thick, it will not be sensitive. Another classification method (Fitzpatrick classification) is based on the sensitivity of sunlight (ultraviolet rays). Sunlight (ultraviolet rays) promotes the increase of active oxygen (oxygen free radicals) inside the skin, which is related to skin erythema or melanization. That is to stimulate melanocytes. In fact, these classification methods are only visible parts on the surface.
